Different types of Avocados:

  2. Choquette – These avocados have smooth and glossy skin and are generally quite large with a high-water content. The flesh is silky and watery, with a very mild taste. When cut, a runny juice is commonly observed to seep from the fruit.
  3. Tonnage – It has a pear-shaped figure with a frog green pebbly skin. It is a medium sized avocado and tastes amazingly sweet. It contains only 8-10% of fat, but it is creamy, with a pale and flavourful taste of chestnut.
  4. Reed – This is one of the larger varieties, approximately the size of a softball. The seed is a medium size and the skin has a medium thickness with a glossy, smooth texture. Reed avocados have a golden flesh with a delicate, nutty flavour and a creamy texture.
  5. Fuerte - The Fuerte avocado has a leathery skin of medium thickness that easily peels, and a dense, slightly oily texture featuring notes of hazelnut. It is a medium-sized avocado which contains a relatively large seed.
  6. Pinkerton - It has long, pear-shape with small seed. It includes rather thick green skin with smooth pale green flesh. It is ready to eat when the green skin deepens its colour.
