In the last few years, the government has come out with some interesting nomenclatures for different sections of people to restore their dignity back to them.
At a function organised by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Union Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Nitin Gadkari distributed advanced leather tool kits among nearly 150 leather artisans.
The minister highlighted the fact that micro financial assistance to leather artisans may enable them to produce the leather products according to need of the market.
They will now be known as ‘Charm Chikitsak (Leather Doctors), added the minister.
He appreciated KVIC for its efforts to promote leather art and craft industry by additional support of Rs 25 crores.
It is to be noted here that the Modi government had requested the people to call differently-abled people as ‘Divyang’ instead of ‘Viklang’ earlier.
