We are experiencing a new revolution in the world in the form of automation and artificial intelligence. By the virtue of not being from a ‘technical’ background, I was only used to hear about how AI and related technologies are bringing radical changes across the industries. Due to my inquisitive nature, I started reading about what AI is all about. Interestingly, there is a lot about AI on the internet.
One of the most exciting things I came across in relevance to AI was a statement of Rajat Khare the founder of Boundary Holding and a successful entrepreneur. “Even for the big players in the market in which ever industry you may be, if think you think you can continue to lead the market without the help of AI, let me tell you, it is going to be really very difficult,” he says. This made me more curious about going into deep, what AI really is?
Basically, AI is the ability of a computer programme to think and learn, which can match humans' intelligence. The next question that came to my mind was why it had taken an irrevocable place in our lives? After reading several blogs, what I found was, it is ‘reducing human effort’. We are developing AI-enabled technologies that are helping us speed up our processes and acquire more accurate results.
Hence, we are trying hard to bring in Artificial intelligence in almost every part of our lives. But what is fostering the whole process are the techno-based AI start-ups in which investors are ready to invest heavily. According to Founder of Clevapi -Timur Luguev, “Investors are always excited about AI technology and the opportunities it can bring. Never met an investor who had philosophical concerns with AI safety issues.”
Then I researched about what all things we use in our daily lives based on AI. I was shocked to know that it has already entered almost every sphere of our lives. From filtering out emails to smart replies in our Gmail accounts, from chatbots to Facebook proactive detection, AI is almost everywhere. It was fascinating to read about AI, even more, interesting are the things that are to come up with the help of AI, which I will continue to write about in the next blog.
