Firefox will Protect User IDs by Creating Fake Ones

Private Relay, a security feature launched by Firefox, will create aliases for your inbox. It will be to keep you secure, but the created aliases will remain in control of the emails received by you.

Firefox is soon to launch a new security feature, which will be known as Private Relay, to keep its user safe and secure. The new security feature will help in protecting the email addresses and privacy of the users by creating aliases. When so many organizations and websites are asking people to be linked with the email addresses of the users, the new security feature of Firefox will be proved a lot more beneficial in reducing the risks of online theft. Cybercrimes and the stealing of online information by the mischievous people have become common these days. Every online service is trying; it’s hard to fight and reduce these threats.

Released in the year 2004, the open-source, free web browser Firefox has gained much popularity and has been preferred over Google chrome by many users. Among several other reasons why most of the people are choosing Firefox over Google Chrome, chrome has turned into an application along with the features of a browser. But, Firefox is still serving the people who wanted it to be only as of the browser. Firefox is giving tough competition to its users by providing customizable experience and emphasis on security. According to ZDNet, right now, the latest security feature of Firefox is in closed beta, and the public beta will be released later this year.

The new security feature by Mozilla, Private Relay, will allow the users of Firefox to generate unique email addresses with a single click. The users could use the generated email addresses for opening new accounts, for getting themselves subscribed to newsletters or for sending contact requests within other web forms. The alias email addresses created will help not only receive the emails but also forward these emails to the email addresses of the real users. Also, the new security feature has the option to delete or disable unwanted emails or any other form of communication. Mozilla is intended to create a simpler yet efficient email alias system that its users can utilize and protect themselves from cyber threats.

Why Creating an Alias is Better Option than Alternatives

People and users have tried several ways to sort out the issue of unwanted emails or escape cluttered inboxes. The unwanted newsletters and emails cluttered up in the inbox often proved very harmful and distracting. To get rid of such problems, the users tried many options, which includes creating a secondary email account only to sign up for the different websites. But, it could not be proved much effective as if the users have got an email from the company and wanted to see it, then it requires him to search for the login information of the email account. Some others tried using an email website temporarily to avoid unwanted emails. Such temporary websites create an inbox and an email for some short time for providing the users enough time for login and getting verification email before the account removed. However, the idea is appearing appealing, but once the account is removed, there is no way to receive any email.

Meanwhile, Apple has announced that it is also working to develop a similar email address alias solution. The new feature will be used by the users to Sign in with the login system of Apple. Then, it will be utilized by the Apple ID of the users rather than using the standard Sign in the system of the website. Despite being the abundance of several other ways to deal with the unwanted newsletters, emails, and cluttered inboxes, Private Relay by Mozilla is appearing the best option. The new security feature will not only help the users to keep their accounts secure but also provide a customized system to choose the emails they are willing to receive. Private Relay of Mozilla Firefox will not only keep the users safe from online threats but also useful to declutter their inbox.
