Construction Types Of Doors

There are two common types of interior doors which are:

1. Panel Doors

Panel doors provide more appeal, detail which are divided into different panes or planes. They have a frame and panel construct within them. The panel can run vertically or horizontally. Raised panel doors are the most used one where labels are released from the flat surface which can be recessed. These are full and have a panel of glass or wood. Panel doors can be hollow core or solid where they can be painted beautifully and provide more dimensions than the flush door.

2. Flush Doors

Flush doors have a flat surface and don't have any kind raised area or detailing. They feel and look like a single wood piece. These are very common and in-expensive. Flush doors are offered in hollow core and solid doors where many of them were lightweight for using and hanging. Yes, you can paint them.

Most Popular Door Styles

1. Sliding Doors

These are found with Asian design but work in a home anywhere. This slide opens rather than swinging open and moves in horizontal motion normally by gliding across each mounted upper portion of the frame.

2. Hinged Doors

These doors provide hinge on a single side to allow swing close and open. Where this hinge can be either side for proper movement depends on the entrance way of your room. Many hinged doors are pre-hung which means the door is already levelled and hung through a frame.

3. Bypass Doors

It is compared to sliding doors where they slide along the upper portion of the door on a track. Door overlaps when slid to the side and decreases the amount opening yet accessing no need to swing the door open.

4. Folding Doors

Folding doors work as they sound. When door pulled open it folds to two portions that extend outwards.

5. Barn Doors

These doors have pieces or slats of wood linked to gathering and offers older rustic look in the home.

6. Pocket Doors

Pocket within drywall access for the door to slide out and in
