Apart from its delicious taste, avocados contribute 5g of monounsaturated fat and 1gram of polyunsaturated fat per 50 g serving (it is one-third of the medium avocado). While over 75% fat present in the fruit is unsaturated, it makes it a great substitute for foods which have a high content of saturated fats.
