The story of an orphaned immigrant with tremendous intelligence and desire who found his way out of a harsh upbringing to leave an impact on the nation before his death in a fight with Aaron Burr.
Hamilton is not just a musical show but a live capture of an actual stage performance starring Miranda, Oakland native Daveed Diggs, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff, and more. The show was shooted at Richard Rodgers Theatre which is in New York for three days in June 2016. Miranda also said that this is a three-day film shoot that has the best-prepared cast in the history of the movie world. Maybe that’s why Hamilton has won 11 Tony Awards, and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize in Drama. The show stars mostly non white characters and uses the fusion of hip hop and R&B with traditional tunes.
