The Car Key feature can work through Power Reserve mode for over five hours, even if the battery of your device runs out at any instance. You can also change the express mode if you are not comfortable with it and can opt for Touch ID or Face ID authentication to unlock or start your car.

It will let the operating system of your phone identify your car, and once it does that, to complete the further process, it will redirect you to the car manufacturer’s app on your iPhone. The process of adding the Car Key feature is fully automated, but users can manually add this feature if the automatic pairing fails. It can be done by using the PIN code which the car manufacturer’s app generates. Once the Car Key feature is added to your iOS device, you can share it with up to five people at a time.
