The popular messenger apps Facebook and WhatsApp could be integrated to give users access to both platforms within a single app no matter which one they wish to use. Facebook, a leading global brand of social media that also owns a cross-platform messenger software called WhatsApp, is reportedly testing a new function as per WABetaInfo.

According to WABetaInfo, a firm that trawls the coding of software to reveal clues, Facebook is these days testing a very innovative function. The official site of WABetaInfo says that it has found a proof that hints that Facebook and WhatsApp apps might be merging in the forthcoming days.

However, it is not clear when this awesome upgrade would be officially proclaimed. The website further noted that the idea of merging these two applications is not possible yet, and Facebook may not even plan to do it officially. The code researching organization further said that it would be a tough thing to do optimally and allow users to use WhatsApp or Facebook within one app. The users themselves might discard it.

Glad to say that it could also be exciting news for the social media enthusiasts since they would love to use both platforms on their fingertips. Allowing users to control both social messengers with one program will also enhance the user experience and accessibility.

Combining WhatsApp & Facebook Messenger: What it could mean for you?

Should the company really merge these two channels into one? One person from Facebook would be able to contact another user on WhatsApp. Is this what people are looking for in the time when privacy and security is the crucial matter?

This potential innovation triggers several security questions, and it is pretty much possible that Facebook has solutions for it in advance. WhatsApp is one of the best social media messengers praised for its end-to-end encryption. End-to-end encryption means your conversation will be only accessible to you and your device and no one else would be able to see it even the developers. This means, your all chats over WhatsApp are totally secured so far.

Also, another benefit of using WhatsApp is that you only have to use a contact number to access its features. You don’t have to worry about an email ID, annoying passwords and more while using this remarkable messenger.

On the other hand, Facebook needs you to provide your real identity to register, and the Messenger app is not as secure as WhatsApp is. Also, a point worth noting is that Facebook recently said they are improving their messenger applications and products. They are also promising to stack End to end encryption to the Facebook Messenger as well in the future.

On one occasion, Mark Zuckerberg recently stated that he wishes to collaborate its popular channels such as InstagramFacebook and even WhatsApp. Could this mean a report from WABetaInfo could possibly be true? Possibly yes, let’s see what happens next.
