Run Installer Compatibility Mode

  1. Right-click on the installation files for Microsoft Office and then click on “Properties.”
  2. Select “Compatibility” mode.
  3. Select the option to run it in compatibility mode.
  4. Choose a rolled back version of the OS in the drop-down menu.
  5. Once again, select the option to run the application as an admin.
  6. Select the “Apply” button.
  7. Click “OK” and the window will close.

Uninstall Other Office Installation

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Tap the Windows + R button on your keyboard to launch Run.
  2. In the search field enter “appwiz.cpl” and tap the “Enter” button on your keyboard to launch “Program & Features.”
  3. Click on the Office software present in the program and features list.
  4. Select “Uninstall” to delete the software.
  5. Reboot your device and check if the issue persists.

Delete Registry Keys of MS Office

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Tap the Windows + R hotkey to open the Run command.
  2. In the search field type “regedit” and then tap “OK” button. Create a backup or a restore point before manipulating the registry.
  3. Now open given registry command:
    • HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Microsoft/Office
  4. Right-tap on the Office button and click “Delete.”
  5. Now browse the given command:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > AppVISV
  6. Remove the “AppVISV” registry.
  7. Now move to the given command:
    • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Office > ClickToRun
  8. Now remove the “ClickToRun” registry.
