Spain and its tourist attractions

Spain is a dream destination for everyone who loves water and sun. The beaches of the Mediterranean are sandy and wide and the blue sea is clean and warm. Spain offers many attractions for active holiday lovers who can choose between windsurfing, scooters, water skiing or just sailing a yacht. To make your holiday more enjoyable, you can enjoy mountain hiking and hiking in the numerous mountain masses.

Spain is not only sun and water, but also beautiful architecture with many cultural monuments and rich and colorful tradition, whose most interesting elements are corrida and flamenco dance.

Corrida is a man's fight with a bull for which Spain is famous. Torreaders encourage the bull to fight with a red cloth and then stick a short spear into his neck. This delays the bull's movements, making it easier for torreaders to catch it by its corners. Then another man enters the arena who tries to kill the bull by sticking a lance in his neck. Only Spain has preserved the brutal nature of the corrida, which is a cause for protest. In other countries, the corrida is not so brutal and never ends in the death of a bull or torreador.

Spain also prides itself on its national dance, Flamenco. It is a very spectacular dance, with extremely colourful costumes - ladies wear colourful frilly dresses and gentlemen wear tight black trousers, white shirt and scarf. Musicians and dancers use different props to beat the rhythm and make the show more colourful and attractive.

Spain is famous for its excellent cuisine, which is one of the best in the world due to the high quality and variety of its products. Spanish cuisine prefers fats in the form of olive oil or lard. Spaniards eat many kinds of fruit and vegetables and potatoes and tomatoes.

Spain has a specific time of day - the siesta. It lasts from 14.00 to 17.00 (the hottest time). During this time, breaks are made, shops, museums and other institutions are closed. Siesta is a time for lunch and meetings with friends in air-conditioned cafés and premises.

When is the best time to go to Spain?

Spain has a very different climate depending on the region. The central part of the country has a harsh climate with hot summers and cold winters. The Atlantic coast has a maritime climate with rainy and short summers. In the most attractive regina of Spain (Mediterranean coast) is very warm all year round.
