Kids are born curious; they try to figure out the outer world with a catalog of imaginations collected from elders and their surroundings.  But, it's normal for them to be a curious soul; the more curious is your child is, the more he learns. It's imperative to nurture your child's curiosity and to channelize it in the right direction.

Study shows that curiosity is the child's internal urges to make sense of everything with the information they cumulate from their parents and surroundings. Interest is something that we can name as a child's learning stage that helps kids understand how the world works.

I was a part of one of the best schools in Sharjah, where my skills were nurtured and developed under the right environment that helped me to find my latent passion and field of interest. The school has encouraged me to seek out new experiences in life that lead me to perfection. I feel curiosity is a success in progress if directed in the right way with the proper guidance. Here's my take on this issue on how we could encourage the curiosities of our child.

Limit their screen time

In today's digital-driven world, kids are glued to Smartphone screens and gadgets that keep them engaged all day long. These gadgets not only anchor the curiosity of your child but also keep them in closure exposure of online threats. Limit their screen time and let your little one create their fun way with a world around them.

Follow your child's creativity

Children learn so much from their surroundings and outdoor activities. Activities such as music, singing, and dancing, captivate their interest and trigger their curiosity. Follow your child's lead, support your child to explore their worlds, and express their feelings. For example – If he likes music, dance together! If your daughter wants to be a singer, curate a weekly music session for her.

Create an interesting environment

Study shows that babies spend one-fifth of their time gazing at their surroundings and turning them in their vocabulary to understand the world around them. Make sure your home environment stimulates your child's mental growth. Create a calm and loving environment for your child. Postpositive affirmations on your walls help you endow your child with a positive attitude and strong core values.

Plan outdoor learning sessions

Outdoors trips to museums, art workshops, art galleries, and zoological parks will stimulate your child's mind with the end number of questions. Outdoor learning is a fun way to give hands-on experience of nature to your child.

I hope you find words helpful in any way. Being a student of one of the best schools in Sharjah, I felt this as my call of duty to introduce parents with the importance of encouraging your child's curiosity so that they don't have to look for the answers from the outer world packed with false beliefs and negativity.
