BBC’s Romantic Drama The 7.39

There are so many great shows on online platforms in recent years. It is always welcomed when a drama is circled back again for another chance to watch. Recently, BBC announced that it is all set to air the part one of the romantic drama The 7:39, which was a series released in 2014.

The 7.39 is a British drama that broadcasts into two parts on BBC One on 6 January and 7 January 2014. David Nicholls wrote the romantic drama from Carnival Movies. The story revolves around Carl Matthews, played by David Morrissey traveled by train to London where he works in a property management office under a boss who pressures him to dismiss one of their employees. He has a very supportive and kind wife Maggie played by Olivia Colman and two teenage children who do not feel to appreciate him.

One morning, a woman named Sally played by Sheridan Smith, complains that she has taken his seat on the train. He apologizes to her, and they start chatting, and she shares that she is divorced but about to marry again. However, the relation of Sally with her fiance played by Sean Maguire suggests that she is a bit cold on the idea. Sally works at a health club, and Carl joins it so that he can spend more time with her. They fall in love, and one night when the train is not running, they spend the night at a hotel. The second part of the drama is the repercussions of the affair.

The show was announced by BBC One on 29 April 2013. It was featured on 1 May 2013 at Carnival Films and announced that shooting of the show had begun. The shooting took place on the South West Trains network. The 7.39 was directed by John Alexander, executive produced by Gareth Alexander and produced by Lynn Horsford. The show was watched by 22.6% of the viewing audience for that time, with 5.66 million watching it. And the second episode on the following day was watched by 23.9% of the viewing audience for the time about 5.77 million audiences were watching it.
