Stress is a popular disease of the 21st century

In our fast-paced world, we are constantly exposed to a lot of stimuli that put a strain on our nervous system. In the rush of everyday life, almost everyone works against time, trying to catch up arrears and other people while chasing material goods, success and happiness. The word stress has a negative meaning for most people — nervousness, tension comes to mind, but it doesn’t hurt to know that there are also positive sources of stress, such as music, dancing, laughter, love, a favourite pastime, a hobby, and so on.

What can cause stress in a negative sense?

-private, family problems
-work or school problems
-material and social problems
-diseases
-psychiatric disorders
-monotonous lifestyle
-excessive expectations
-chased lifestyle
-lack of calmness and rest
- persistent noise

constant nervousness, impatience, irritability, susceptibility to disease, cardiovascular disease, upper respiratory disease, indigestion, skin infections, nervous system problems, insomnia, hair loss, loss of appetite or increased appetite… etc.

When does a stressful reaction work?

A stressful reaction usually occurs when claims are made on us. Stress is an inherent, driving force of life, but we must learn to overcome it. Stress is closely related to aggression. (Think of the scenes from the 1993 film Falling Down, starring Michael Douglas, or the latest movie, Unhinged, in which Russel Crowe loses control.) If we can’t deal with the stressful situations we face, depression, anxiety, fear, can lead to a weakening of the immune system. Regular stress accelerates the aging of the body.

Statistics

-In 2011, every 10th day off in Germany was taken with reference to stress.
-2008-2009 France Telekom commits 39 suicides due to stress caused by corporate restructuring
-In the 27 EU Member States, work-related stress puts a quarter of workers at risk.
-In the U.S., 1 million people are absent from work every day due to stress.

To decrease the volume:

Acoustics greatly affect the maintenance of attention and calm. Therefore, it does not matter how acoustically treated a given place is. Therefore, it is worth using sound-absorbing materials eg: sound-absorbing panel, acoustic panel, acoustic carpet, soundproofing curtains.

Noise pollution

Prolonged environmental noise and noise are inevitable. Many times, even at night, we can’t relax peacefully because of the constant infiltrating sounds. Traffic, construction sites, the sound of quarrels with neighbours, or the constant background noises present in offices unfortunately make silence impossible. If we can’t relax ourselves properly, we will be tired, lethargic, and our work performance and mood will deteriorate. In this state, it is more difficult to take the fight to stress.

What can we do to overcome stress?

We have little opportunity to create complete peace of mind around us and to create ideal conditions in all areas of our lives. There are factors that we cannot influence, but for our health and harmonious state of mind, we absolutely must protect ourselves from stress. Under no circumstances should we use mind-altering drugs, alcohol, drugs to combat stress! Let’s not smoke or be addicted to sweets! These activities, instead of providing a solution, only generate more problems. Here are some tips to consider that will really help:

• Try to analyze the problems and think of possible solutions!

• Don't panic, believe in yourself! If something doesn’t work, don’t give up, get up and try again!

• Create a peaceful, peaceful home: with pleasant, cozy furnishings and noise-canceling accessories, we can create an island of tranquility in our apartment.
• Move out several times, hike in the fresh air!

• Exercise regularly!

• Listen to your favorite music that turns off and cheers!

• Find a fun hobby, leisure activities!

• Positive thinking is very important! Don’t get caught up in every little difficulty or argument!

• Eat healthy and consciously!

• We appreciate the small pleasures and beauty of life!
