Yoga Poses That Will Help Your Body Detox

Yoga Manly can help your body detox. If you want to build a sequence for detoxing your body, it is important to look at the body systems that we can help detoxify. We should also look at the types of poses that target those body systems. With this in mind, we will discuss some of the poses that will help your body detox.

Seated twist

Any sort of gentle movement and compression in the torso will help you get things moving downward and eventually outward in the digestive system. The more we help the digestive system to move toxins and waste through the intestines, the better we will be able to detox.

With the seated twist, you have to sit firmly on your sitz-bones keeping your tush behind you. This will ensure a long spine. Put your feet together and lengthen up through the crown of your head attempting to reach your heart forward. Put your right hand behind you either with a flat palm or fingertips and hug your knees. You can also hook your elbow to the outside of your knee as you twist your chest open towards the right.

Your yoga instructor should tell you whether you are doing the right thing and guide you appropriately.

Chair pose twist

For this yoga Manly twist, start in a chair pose. Make sure your big toes are together and you can be able to see your toes in front of your knees. Your hands should be taken to Anjali mudra at your heart centre and hook the left elbow to the outside of your right thigh. Twist open towards your right. Your knees should be in line and then press firmly into your palms. This will deepen the twist. It will also unfurl your chest up and open up to meet the thumbs as you roll the right shoulder away from your right ear.
