Newest Call of Duty's bigger file-size

The file size is even bigger on next-gen hardware, requiring up to 130GB of storage space.

A detail of file sizes of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has come by Activision. The upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is launching on November 13th across next-gen hardware and existing consoles. The game is huge in keeping with tradition. And it can be said that it's sad for the purchaser of the Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 because the game will take up about an extra 40GB of space on your new strong state drive.

Since the Modern Warfare reboot in the fall of a year ago, Call of Duty has become a famously storage-intensive game. The option just made it of the Warzone fight royale mode that was released back in March that added tens of additional gigabytes to the game's general footprint. Presently now on PS4 Pro Modern Warfare with Warzone joined aggregates upto 173GB, and that is with the campaign uninstalled.

Here the file sizes are enlisted with full breakdown across platforms -

  • PlayStation 4: 95GB
  • PlayStation 5: 133GB
  • Xbox One: 93GB
  • Xbox Series X/S: 136GB

Similar things appear to be valid for Black Ops Cold War. However, now next-gen version's players will have to account for that additional knock-in document size for what is likely texture packs and other graphical enhancements that benefit the high-power chipsets in the Xbox Series X and PS5. Both consoles are dispatching with NVMe SSDs; however, at just 825GB, Sony's is marginally more modest than Microsoft's 1TB model.

While we don't know precisely how much free space either reassure will consider game installs after mandatory data and system files, Black Ops Cold War will, without a doubt, take up a useful piece of your system storage, paying little heed to stage.

Activision uncovered that the studios developing the game have figured out how to cut down the PC file size from a stunning 250GB with Nvidia RTX enabled down to 125GB.

As indicated by a Canadian Redditor who got their hands on an early Xbox Series S console based on what has all the earmarks of being an initial shipping mistake, that device's smaller 512GB SSD contains just free space of 364GB for game installs. It means the new Call of Duty would take up an incredible 37 percent.
