Audiology deals with the study of speech, management, and cure of hearing problems. The scope of work

After completing the course, the audiologist assistant, a clinical assistant, can be employed with a government hospital or a private hospital. There is also an employment scope in a rehabilitation center where the patient with mental illness and trauma is healed. The clinical audiology certification helps professionals in identifying various hearing disorders or clinical problems. Besides assisting the audiologist in hearing tests, the audiology assistant also helps in videostagmography, electrophysiological tests, etc.

Besides helping the audiologist, a clinical audiology assistant's role is to help the audiologist in day-to-day activities, consultation, and clinical tests. The clinical audiology assistant counsels the patient in the absence of an audiologist. They encourage the participants to take up the required breathing or physical exercises, yogic asanas and pranayamas suggested by the audiologist to make the situation better for the patient.

The eligibility criteria for a clinical assistant audiologist is 10th standard. The candidate is supposed to undergo a routine test to determine the interest in the subject.

The Salary

A clinical audiologist assistant's salary starts from 18000 rupees, and it can double up or go up to 40000 in a year.
