How to Import Microsoft Access Data into Excel?

Access is the primary MS Office app that allows you to make and arrange a database. This easy to use app can be used for making business apps using templates from scratch. It is good for organization, storage, and retrieval. At times, you may want to import Access data into Excel. Follow the instructions mentioned below to learn how to export data from an Access database to an Excel spreadsheet.

Import Microsoft Access Data into Excel

Launch the MS Excel worksheet on your system.
Then move to the tab of Data at the top.
You should select the pull-down of ‘Get Data’ and then click on Get & Transform Data.
Later, click on Microsoft Access Database.
Now, find the file of Access and click on it.
Then tap on the Import button.
Click on the table inside the left panel of the screen of Navigator.
Thereafter, tap the button of Load.
Import MS Excel Data into Existing Access Table

Ensure that the Excel spreadsheet has similar headers as present in the Access database.
You should launch the database of Access.
Then select the option of Enable Content in case a security alert appears.
Later, move to the tab of External Data.
You have to choose the Excel option.
Once the ‘Get External Data – Excel Spreadsheet’ prompt appears, search for the Excel file.
After that, choose the ‘Append a copy of records to the table’ option.
Go to the appropriate table inside the pull-down, and tap the OK button.
Now, choose the worksheet you would like to import and tap on the OK button.
Finally, press the Finish button.
Import MS Excel Data into a Fresh Table in Microsoft Access

First, open the database of Access.
Then select the option of Enable Content if a security alert appears.
After that, move to the tab of External Data and select the Excel option through.
In the ‘Get External Data – Excel Spreadsheet’ window, find the Excel file.
You have to choose the ‘Import the source data into a new table in the current database’ option.
Then click on the OK button.
In case the first row over the Excel worksheet includes headers, tick the “First ‘Row Contains Column Headings’ box.
Now, hit the Next button.
You can tweak the columns.
Afterward, select the Next button.
You should enable ‘Let Access add primary key’, and click on the Next button.
Finally, press the Finish button.
