If you were given a free gram of weed and told to judge if it was good quality or bad weed, will you be able to differentiate?

Imagine doing a thorough research, knowing which strain of marijuana you want and heading to an online dispensary for weed, only to be confused whether the local weed you are buying is good or not.

Here are a few ways to distinguish between good cannabis and bad cannabis:

  • Smell

The unmistakable odor of good cannabis is fresh and easily detectible. If you have ever smelled fresh cannabis in Vancouver, you will know that it is much stronger than bad cannabis, which smells like hay or grass.

  • Color

One of the easiest ways to distinguish high quality marijuana from the funky stuff is to check for green coloring with orange or purple flecks. While this means that the cannabis is of high quality, bad quality cannabis will usually be brownish in color which points towards mold or pesticides.

  • Tested for quality

Purchasing lab-tested marijuana in Vancouver only will ensure that you are getting a product that has been certified to be of good quality and has minimum to no number of pesticides or contamination.

Characteristics of bad quality weed:

  • Lower THC content

Bad quality weed is bound to have a lower THC content and hence, does not provide you with the “high” experienced from high quality weed on sale.

  • Very dry to touch

Good quality weed should neither be too dry or too sticky. Dry weed will light up faster and tends to burn up too quickly.

  • Seeds, Sticks and stems are present

When you see any one of these three S’s in your weed, there is a chance that it is not the best quality. A well-trimmed and thick bud points towards high quality.
