Steps to deal with QuickBooks Error 15215

QuickBooks Error 15215 occurs when you are trying to update QuickBooks or when you are downloading payroll updates. When your system’s firewall blocks the software from connecting with the server then this QB error occurs. If your Quickbooks Desktop application is not installed properly then there are chances to occur this error. When this error occurs then an error message comes up which states: “QuickBooks could not verify the digital signature for the update file.” QB Error 15241 is also related to payroll error and when it occurs, Quickbooks Desktop stops updating files.

Cause of QuickBooks Error 15215:-

  • When your Microsoft IE is not configured properly.
  • When your Windows is infected by some virus or malware.
  • When you run a similar program at the same time then the system gets corrupted.
  • When Windows works very slowly and is not responding to your inputs.
  • When your software mistakenly removed payroll files.
  • When your QuickBooks software is not installed properly.
  • When you are using your system then it starts freezing.
  • When you are trying to update Quickbooks.
  • When your internet connectivity is not secure.

Methods to deal with QuickBooks Error 15215:-

Log in as an Administrator

 

  • Firstly, ensure that the QuickBooks Desktop is closed and then do right click on the QuickBooks Desktop icon and select “run as admin.”
  • Now click on “yes” to receive a message - “do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer?”

Using QuickBooks Tool hub

 

  • The first step is to QB tool hub download and install from the official website of Intuit and then install it by following the on-screen instructions then open it by clicking on the icon or by simply enter QuickBooks tool hub in the search tab then there are so many options to resolve issues you choose that option which is suitable for you to solve QB Error 15215. By choosing the appropriate option you are able to resolve your issue.

 Verify Use TLS 1.0 settings

 

  • Firstly, close Quickbooks desktop then opens the internet explorer browser.
  • Now click on tools and select the Internet options icon then click on the advanced tab.
  • After that click on advanced settings and locate ‘use TLS 1.0’  options then verify use tls 1.0 is checked and verify use tls 1.1 and 1.2 are not checked.
  • Now click on Ok and close the window then close Internet Explorer.
  • Now reboot your computer and after restarting open QuickBooks Desktop again.
  • Now try to download the update again.

  Restart Windows in selective startup

  • The very first step is to close the QuickBooks Desktop and open run windows by clicking Windows+R keys and type Msconfig and then click on the Ok button.
  • Now the system configuration utility opens then allows the configuration window to open.
  • Now choose the selective startup option and clear the load startup item checkbox then click on the save option and then click on the Ok button.
  • Now restart your computer and then reopen the QuickBooks and download the current tax table.
  • Follow the previous steps from 1 to 4 and then open the system configuration utility and then check the normal startup box and then click on the OK button.
  • Now restart your computer to make the changes.
