As advertised, this model handles fabulously, hovers perfectly, and delivers some spectacular 4K UHD footage. The 720p live stream from the camera to the device was clear and very helpful in controlling the 3-axis camera. All together this drone delivered some really impressive results in the air.
Once the app is installed on the mobile device, syncing with the drone and getting into the air takes only a few minutes. The battery allows for longer flights, and since video is recorded to a Micro SD card, getting the footage processed is a snap. Because of the higher resolution, everyone is going to want to maximize the size of the card to 64GB. Plus every DJI Phantom 3 review should mention the 12-megapixel still pictures the unit is capable of taking because they offer some pretty incredible images as well.
The Con
I really did not see any problem with the DJI Phantom 3, except the price. Like the other unmanned aerial vehicles on the market, this device is not a toy. Since the price tag on this unit outpaces twelve-hundred bucks, anyone considering a purchase may realize that this is a tool. The tool is perfect for top quality video production and getting some truly amazing shots. Once you get past the price tag though, there really is not a lot of bad things to say about this drone.
