Visit Scotland in 1 Day!

Scotland is quite small but there is no way you could see everything we have to offer in just 1 day especially as it would take you a day just to get to some of our stunning islands.  However, it hasn't stopped the team at the Hairy Coo trying. We have a selection of day trips from Edinburgh that we have tried to pack in as much as possible to give you a real flavour of our beautiful country.

One of our most popular is the:

1-DAY LOCH NESS, GLENCOE, HIGHLANDS & WHISKY TOUR

As you can see from the title, the Loch Ness tours from Edinburgh include scenery, some Nessie hunting, and whisky!

On the first part of your tour, you’ll spot mysterious shape-shifting Kelpies and the ancient stronghold of Stirling Castle before a trip to taste and learn about our water of life – whisky! You’ll continue to journey through rugged and isolated landscapes listening to your driver-guide sharing tales of Scotland’s gory and thrilling history. Travel through Scotland’s first designated national park (Loch Lomond and the Trossachs), view the desolation of Rannoch Moor, marvel and remember the bloody history of Glencoe – all before arriving at Fort Augustus situated on the southern banks of Loch Ness.

While you’re there perhaps you’re interested in hunting down the elusive Loch Ness Monster? Your guide will give you the opportunity to board an award-winning cruise boat, equipped with the latest technology to maximize your chances of spotting Nessie!

Your return journey will see you travel south back towards Edinburgh via Scotland’s second national park (Cairngorms) before a pit-stop at Queen Victoria’s favourite village Pitlochry, famous for its yummy whisky ice cream.

You can read the itinerary of all our coach tours from Edinburgh on our website.
