A Brief Introduction
For E-waste management, an EPR Certificate is required for Indian manufacturers and importers of goods. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which is part of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MOEFCC), grants EPR authorization. With EPR India approval, the manufacturer / importer of electronic and electrical products is responsible for controlling E-waste generated by the products after their lifetime has expired.
Electronic and electrical product manufacturers and importers must have documentary proof of an E-waste management strategy and arrangement with a recycling agency.
