The dark horse – Bhushan Pradhan

Meet 32-year old Bhushan Pradhan, a Marathi actor, who is ready to mark his presence within the Bollywood industry soon. Before his latest release Re Raya, the ardent actor talks about his connecting with theatre, modeling, and why the Marathi television industry is so on the brink of his heart. The primary school play I did was ‘Vadhadiwasachi Bhet’, which suggests ‘Birthday Gift’. My school teachers always motivated me to stay the spark alive. And after school, modeling came as a simple thanks to entering into the planet of glamour. Then I entered the Marathi television industry at the age of 24 and did ‘Ghe Bharari’, but the turning point of my career was ‘Pinjara’. And then, there was no seeing back.

Bhushan Pradhan, What does one enjoy about your performances?

What I can never imagine living or desire a traditional human, this profession makes me feel and live those moments. Also, while we all are struggling to know ourselves, as an actor I buy to know numerous iconic lives then enact them on screen. The sense of satisfaction in doing all this is often beyond imagination. I feel lucky to be in this place.

Bhushan, what quiet preparations does one undergo for your characters?

For me, it's necessary to know the nuances of the character then I attempt to watch and skim tons of an equivalent genre and films that are on the brink of the topic. The thought is to know the space during which the plot is sketched and it also helps me understand what the audience would expect from such characters. If I don’t feel satisfied with the virtual details, I schedule to go to the place or the person to possess a micro view. I assume it all lies within the level of passion and dedication.

Bollywood has been everyone’s dream. Are you furthermore may within the league?

(Laughs) Touchwood my diligence has paid off and before I assumed of approaching people in Bollywood, they approached me which was like authentication to my add the Marathi movie industry. As an actor, such incidents offer you a push to figure harder.

There is an excessive amount of inspiration game going on? How does one feel about the shift as an actor?

As an actor, I feel it’s all good. As an audience what people see is simply the topic and plot of the film. It’s beyond the plot and it involves an all-new set of emotions and expressions that make it a special project altogether. We’d like to raise in particular controversies and see a movie as a standalone project that involves life after such a lot of diligence.

Are you a director’s actor otherwise you put in your inputs too?

I always put in my efforts than when the director contradicts and guides me, that's what I like because it enriches my vision and approach to the character and it also helps me understand where there's a scope for improvement.

Is direction or production on the list?

At present, I'm enjoying the method of being an actor. Direction and production may be a different ball game altogether. I might like to taste the flavor of both, but nothing is planned yet.

What is the foremost memorable project so far and why?

As an actor, every project is memorable because each role involves a special sort of preparation. Things get ugly when projects get delayed and you're stuck. That’s once I feel suffocated and therefore the enthusiasm of connecting with a project is lost. But I attempt to neglect it with my optimism.
