I. Spotlight on: Colorado State University

Ranked in the top 450 universities worldwide, and 166th in the USA, Colorado State University is a premier public educational institution. Founded in 1870, CSU is a historic university located in the historic, picturesque town of Fort Collins, Colorado, with all the advantage of being located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains – the best of America’s natural beauty right on its doorstep. It offers undergraduate and graduate programmes, a number of shorter certificate courses, as well as higher research degrees. It is best known for – and has consistently been highly ranked – for its engineering and business administration degrees. With a large population of 26000 students, CSU is also home to a small but growing population of international students, numbering just over 1000.

Scholarships: a number of scholarships, offered by CSU as well as external agents, are available to international students at CSU – for instance, the William J. & Jean S. Griswold Scholarship offers two awards of 1000 USD each for international students studying in the fields of history or foreign languages.

The University of Dayton, Ohio is a top-tier private Catholic university, established in 1850 in the town of Dayton, Ohio, that offers undergraduate and graduate programmes across a range of subjects. OSU is located in Corvallis, a city in the North-Western state of Oregon, within a few miles of the Pacific Ocean. It has been ranked consistently high in the subjects of agriculture and forestry, biological sciences, earth and marine sciences, environmental studies, and education and training – it offers undergraduate and graduate degree as well as graduate certificate programmes in these as well as several other subject areas. Scholarships: International graduate students are eligible for a number of scholarships at OSA, most of which are subject-specific – for instance, the Charles and Elaine Mellen Sutherland Scholarships for the College of Forestry Education and the College of Public Health and Human Sciences, which offer awards ranging from 600 to 6000 USD per year, subject to competitive satisfaction of the requirements.

4. Scholarships: USF offers scholarships and fellowships to international students, subject to satisfaction of certain criteria, such as the Graduate Student Success Fellowship.

The application deadlines for international students are 15th October 2019 for Spring 2020, 15th  February 2020 for Summer 2020, or 1st June 2020 for Fall 2020.
