These days, more and more companies are in the look out of candidates who are not just employable but are skilled at conceptual clarity, aptitude and reasoning skills. The attitude of the students and most importantly their potential of facing interviews with confidence and diligence is what majority of the companies look for. All this and more is taken special care of at KIIT.

Placement training offered at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial technology bridges the gap that exists among students pertaining to the skills and the potentials mentioned above. The skills of the students are honed through rigorous class routines during their semesters. Even regular tests are used for assessing the performance of the students. Personal interviews and group discussion sessions are conducted for making the students ready for the industry.

KIIT’s placement training comes from its Career Advisory and Augmentation Services wing. This wing works with the mission of providing placement training so the students avail the right skills, aptitude and knowledge while meeting the manpower requirements of companies across the industry.

Students undertaking placement training at the University avail exhaustive and fully personalized services and training modules for Law, MBA, MCA and B.Tech. They are provided full support and the knowledge and skills required for handling the selection process of some of the best players in the Industry.

As is the case, the industry these days is looking for energetic and vibrant students who are all set to accept all kinds of challenges thrown on them. The industry also requires students who are fast learners and the ones who are completely open to gaining knowledge away from work and even during the work hours. Students with a favourable academic background and proper communication skills are also in huge demand. All this and more is taken care of in the placement training cell of KIIT.

KIIT’s placement training segment includes regular classes during the pre-final year and corporate training in the last year just before campus recruitments start. Regular training involves areas including verbal ability, aptitude soft skills and technical training on basic information technology.

Dr. Suman Bhattacharya, the Director at CAAS or Career Advisory and Augmentation Services department at KIIT and also the Head of NextGen Learning holds a doctorate degree in computer science.

Dr. Suman Bhattacharya and other faculty members at CAAS stand proof of the excellent training and knowledge provided to the students willing to participate in the placement drive at KIIT.
