Future home improvement technologies for seamless environment

As we all know that today’s home improvement technology has now moved forward even crossed the one-remote-control-for-one-device paradigm. With the tremendous increase in the internet-connected devices and streaming media, it’s possible to add the remote drawer entirely. We see a lot of futuristic technologies in movies, but it’s hard to utilize them in real life due to their unaffordability. Let’s discuss some futuristic technologies that will entirely change the home improvement industry;

Automatic robots:

We are still quite far from utilizing a full-featured, humanoid-like robot which can operate efficiently without instructions. The fact is, automated robots already exist and now being used in Florida. Different devices such as iRobot and Neato are also specifically designed to autonomously travel around the home and clean your floors.

Smart appliances:

The devices we use daily such as smartphones, wrist watches and even jewelry is now getting smarter than ever before. After a few years, we’ll be realizing the huge benefits of owning such smart appliances. So, just imagine the smart refrigerator which may have a pretty glass of water waiting for you while you step into the kitchen. You can even order the food/water directly using your smartphone. Just think of an internet-ready microwave which could be automatically tweeting out a fresh & quick meal for you. Okay, this last example was more than a joke, but I hope you get my point.

You can already buy the refrigerators, washers, dryers or different devices which are well-equipped with the touchscreen displays and the piles of sensors. So, just a couple of them are internet ready and enabling people to install and use the apps directly from their appliance.

Different lightening control techniques:

Turning on the lights from a wall switch or ceiling is quite old-fashioned now. It’s important to have a right setup installed in your home, where lights can be controlled easily from smartphones and tablets, touchscreen panels or an automated system.

If you have a smart thermostat, it can be possibly programmed to turn on the lights in your home and then cool the air inside as soon as you are returning from the vacation. So, just imagine you have programmed your system so that it can turn on the lights at different times of the day or night.

Streaming devices and centralized entertainment:

Cable TV sounds bit overpriced, inconvenient and old-fashioned these days. These sluggish set-top boxes are just the small portion of your problem. So, it’s no more a surprise then that a streaming revolution is happening right now. The future of pure entertainment just lies in a centralized streaming system that offers homeowners and guests an instant access to their digital entertainment. And with the involvement of Internet-based subscription services such as Netflix, Hulu, and even YouTube, people can efficiently stream content live to the TV relatively in a cheap way. It’s also relying on the decent internet connection, which is a different issue.

There are still lots of trends and techniques are evolving with the passage of time, so if you to keep yourself updated with advanced trends stay tuned to our blog posts at Renovaten and follow us on twitter as well.
