In the very next scene, you will see that battered victim, breathing heavily, his face covered in duct tape.He is presumably moments away from his demise.A phrase is written on the duct tape that has covered his entire face- No More Lies.“What does a liar do when he is dead?” The Riddler asks the question within a few seconds into the trailer. It is a mystery that has not been answered in the trailer, but the fans have solved it.If you want to know the answer, read on.The Internet has erupted ever since DC FanDome unveiled first looks, sneak peeks, trailers, and other details apropos to the upcoming high-budgeted DC projects. However, the trailer of Matt Reeves’s Batman has garnered more exalted nods than anything else that has come out of the inaugural convention. The trailer has been praised for its promise for a David Fincher world set in the backdrop of a city that is under the supervision of a brutal and vengeful superhero.but they have been reluctant in using the tone extensively after the critical failure of Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, with the success and international recognition of the academy award nominee “Joker,” it is believed that they have reevaluated their strategy for the forthcoming films. The trailer of Matt Reeves’s The Batman gives us some glimpses of Robert Pattinson donning the caped crusader suit, which looks extraordinarily different from the previous version, especially in the area of the Bat symbol at the center of his chest. We neither see nor hear much of Edward Nashton, aka The Riddler (played by Paul Dano of Prisoners fame) throughout the trailer except the time when he is wrapping his victim with the duct tape in the very first scene, and the time he is communicating with Bruce Wayne in the final moments of the trailer.

Review: Is the R-rated superhero show bigger and badder than ever? Short answer: Yeah.
There's blood and guts all over The Boys, but it's also a well-told story with a satisfying second chapter.
Warner Bros. and DC showed off upcoming DC Comics movies over the weekend during the virtual DC FanDome event.  It gave fans a peek at the future of DC movies over the next few years, with new details and footage for anticipated releases like "The Batman," "Wonder Woman 1984," and "Black Adam." Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories. Warner Bros. and DC pulled the curtain back on some anticipated theatrical releases over the weekend during the virtual DC FanDome event, revealing new details and footage for "The Batman," "Wonder Woman 1984," and more. DC movies have been trending upward since the DC Extended Universe experiment backfired with 2017's superhero team-up movie, "Justice League," which disappointed at the box office after extensive reshoots and was blasted by critics. Between then and now, "Aquaman" and "Joker" both grossed more than $1 billion worldwide and "Shazam!" debuted to favorable reviews. While the coronavirus pandemic has upended some of DC and Warner Bros.' plans — notably by pushing release dates or stalling productions — the FanDome event highlighted the scope of future movies.  We rounded up every DC movie with a confirmed release date, with new details from FanDome (of course, the dates could change as the pandemic continues to shuffle the theatrical release calendar). An "Aquaman" spinoff, called "The Trench," is also in the works, but hasn't been dated yet. Fans can expect plenty of DC content outside of theatrically released movies, too. The long-awaited "Snyder Cut" of "Justice League" hits HBO Max next year. After "Justice League" flopped, fans clamored for Snyder's director's cut and now they're getting it. Max is also developing original DC shows like a prequel to "The Batman" focused on the Gotham City police and a Green Lantern series. This story was originally published in December 2019 and has been updated with info from DC FanDome. Below are seven DC movies with confirmed release dates hitting theaters:SEE ALSO: The 8 most significant superhero movies of the decade that changed Hollywood "Wonder Woman 1984" — October 2, 2020 The "Wonder Woman" sequel reunites director Patty Jenkins and stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, but shifts the story forward from World War I to the 1980s. The first movie was a critical and box-office hit, raking in $821 million worldwide.  It was originally slated for release in November, 2019, but then pushed back to June. Amid the pandemic, Warner Bros. delayed it again to October.  Watch the new trailer.  "The Suicide Squad" — August 6, 2021 Margot Robbie will again play Harley Quinn for this "Suicide Squad" sequel from director James Gunn, who was hired by Warner Bros. after Disney fired him from the third "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie (he was then re-hired, but is finishing "The Suicide Squad" first). Gunn has assembled a team of new and old faces and the full cast was showcased during FanDome. Returning are Robbie's Quinn, Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang, and Viola Davis' Amanda Waller. Out is Will Smith, who played Deadshot. Newcomers include Idris Elba as Bloodsport and John Cena as Peacemaker. Gunn called it "by far the biggest movie" he's ever made during a behind-the-scenes look at the movie. Watch it here. "The Batman" — October 1, 2021 Robert Pattinson will play Batman in a new film from "War for the Planet of the Apes" director Matt Reeves. Pattinson takes over from Ben Affleck, who played the Dark Knight in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League." Reeves has assembled an all-star cast that also includes Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon. During FanDome, Reeves said that "The Batman" is a "year two" story for a young Batman and acts as an origin story for many of his villains. He also teased the HBO Max spinoff series, calling it a "Year One" story focused on the corruption within the Gotham Police Department amid the emergence of Batman. "Year One is the beginning of the emergence, it's the first appearance of this mass vigilante that starts to unsettle the city," he said. "And you start to see the story through the point of view of these corrupt cops and one in particular. And the story is actually a battle for his soul." Watch the first trailer for "The Batman." "Black Adam" — December 22, 2021 After years of teasing his attachment to the movie, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is opening up about "Black Adam," a frequent foe of Shazam in the comics but also an anti-hero of sorts. It was revealed during FanDome that the movie would introduce the Justice Society of America, which preceded the Justice League in the comics.  "Black Adam has been with me for a very long time," Johnson said during FanDome. "One of the main things I always loved about Black Adam is that he was an anti-hero. I love that he has his own sense of Black Adam justice. I also love the fact that his origins are that of a slave ... he felt the burdens and the pressures of a larger entity holding him down until you can't take it anymore." "The Flash" —June 2, 2022 The "Flash" movie, from "It" director Andy Muschietti, has gone through several different directors and release dates. But it finally came into focus during FanDome. Muschietti called it a "time-travel story" and writer Christina Hodson said that the "cinematic multiverse will be born out of this movie." The event debuted concept art that teased Michael Keaton's return as Batman (he originally played the character in Tim Burton's "Batman" and "Batman Returns").   "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" — November 4, 2022 With $364.5 million worldwide, "Shazam!" wasn't a box-office smash like "Wonder Woman" or "Aquaman." But it was successful enough for Warner Bros. to greenlight a sequel for 2022. "Shazam!" was a hit with critics and has a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. The full title, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," was revealed at FanDome.   "Aquaman" sequel — December 16, 2022 2018's "Aquaman" grossed over $1 billion globally, so a sequel was inevitable. It will hit theaters in 2022, topping off what will be a busy year for DC movies. Director James Wan is returning.  Wan said during FanDome that the sequel will be "a little bit more serious, a little bit more relevant to the world we're living in today."

Email startup Superhuman is also looking to reinvent the calendar, starting with a new feature that allows users to create calendar events directly within the app, using just keyboard shortcuts. Rahul Vohra, CEO and founder of Superman, said it's just the start of the company's plans to reinvent how people use their calendars  Vohra says one-third of all emailing is related to scheduling, so in order to truly make email more efficient the company has to rethink how calendars integrate with email. Click here for more BI Prime stories. Superhuman, the hot startup that's aiming to reinvent email, is now looking to transform the calendar, too. The company announced a new feature earlier this week that allows users to create calendar events directly within the app, using keyboard shortcuts. That quick, all-in-one-program process is faster than the options offered by rivals like Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.  This is something Superhuman's customers have wanted for years, said CEO Rahul Vohra, who founded Superman in 2014. It's just the start of the company's plan to reinvent how people use calendars, he added.  Superhuman's goal is to provide a better, faster email experience, and its $30-per-month product already has a cult-like following among founders and investors. To date, it has raised $56 million in venture capital funding from firms like Andreessen Horowitz, and has a valuation of $260 million, according to PitchBook.  The company is trying to tackle all the different ways that it can make email more efficient. One-third of all emailing is related to scheduling, Vohra said, so the company has been trying to find ways to integrate calendars better. "So far, we've made people twice as fast at getting through their email in general and we want to keep doing that," Vohra told Business Insider. "The way that we do that is, we start to take on the different aspects of what emailing is. Emailing is everything from scheduling to delegation, to receiving tasks to sharing files, to collaborating on documents. Scheduling is one of the biggest."  The key to all this is pre-programmed and customizable keyboard shortcuts, which is what makes Superhuman's email experience faster than competitors, Vohra said.  In addition to the new scheduling feature, users can already hover over a time in an email and see their calendar for that day. While Superhuman doesn't yet have a separate tab or page to see your calendar in its entirety, Vohra said that's something his team is considering adding. However, the focus is on looking at what parts of scheduling are cumbersome and coming up with features to fix those.  That might include things like scheduling assistance, so when you're replying to someone, Superhuman would automatically suggest times that you're available, and put a hold on those times until one is picked. Long term, that might even include Superhuman intelligently deciding a time by looking at two people's calendars and seeing what works best, without the user having to do any work.  Vohra also sees the potential for Superhuman to remember your favorite meeting locations or preferred meeting room with certain contacts and suggest that new meetings happen there — for when people are back in offices. He also thinks the company might add features to automatically add a Zoom or Google Meet link to a calendar invite. Superhuman wants to compress the scheduling work to as little time as possible, "so that people can then choose to do more stuff. That might actually be more emailing, but maybe it's more outbounding, it's responding to emails. It's more real work," Vohra said.  Superhuman's philosophy is that efficiency — with enjoyment! — is everything, Vohra said: "We always believe let's start with that layer, let's make the fundamental work that people are trying to do fun and fast before we add the bells and whistles that typically a Google or Microsoft can do." While user experience designers (UX) try to approach web and app creation from a user’s perspective, user interface experts (UI) focus on a product’s aesthetic look and feel as well as its interactivity.
