The massive use of and dependency on technology, smartphones, mobile gadgets, and the internet has greatly changed the way businesses operate. From the hiring process to delivering an end product, most of the tasks within an organization benefit from implementing automation in some way. This brief article will specifically look at best practices human resource managers as well as talent recruiters can use to stimulate the hiring process.Talent Pool SoftwareTalent pool software is generally a technology tool that HR managers use to manage the current and potential employees in an organization. Basically, the talent pool is a huge database of qualified profiles wanting to work in your company.A talent pool software organizes all the potential candidates that have applied for a job position including referred, sourced silver medalists, and other special candidates. As an HR manager or talent recruiter, you might be aware of talent pool recruitment but was you able to take this hiring process to its full potential?Honestly, employing a talent pool software does not only ease the hiring process but also gets you the best candidates available for a particular job. Thus, there is no need to compromise on quality and spend a lot of time interviewing all candidates that applied for a job.Best Talent Pool Practices for Improving the Hiring ProcessBuilding a recruitment strategy that is able to combat the ups and downs of the business in a bumpy economy have always been the foremost priority of HR managers and talent recruiters. If you’re baffled by the high unemployment rate, it doesn’t mean that the qualification, skills, and experience an enterprise needs will be readily available. If you have been relying on old job descriptions, your competitors may have already hired the best talent in town – making them a step ahead of you.In this regard, here are some key practices that can fill your organization with top talent in the market:1. Application Tracking System (ATS)The process of hiring the exact talent, nothing more or less, a company needs for a job post is called talent acquisition. It is also referred to as employment brand management that includes learning candidate relationships with previous companies, referrals, sourcing, global talent pool development, tracking, and background checking.Using an Application Tracking System enables the electronic handling of applications of sourced, referred, and other candidates. ATS can help with streamlining the hiring process, resume management, applicant tracking, delegation, task creation, candidate searches, and more.Last but not least, it is easy to set up an ATS online irrespective of the company needs and business level.2. Performance ManagementAs the name suggests, performance management is the process of developing an adequate work environment where hired people can use their abilities at the fullest. Consider the statistics CMI Chief Strategy Advisor Robert Rose shared during his opening keynote presentation:Tech spending outpaces every other category in marketing budgets – including employees and agency support – eating up 29% of total marketing budgets, according to a recent Gartner study.Robert says content teams should be able “to create owned media experiences at the speed of media buying.” That certainly comes pretty close to the big hairy audacious goal (BHAG) category, requiring long-term changes in the structure of marketing, content, and IT teams.Yet another plug for centralized communications and content governance because “the customer comes first.” @shivamirhoseini ContentTECH pic.twitter.com/Y5m3AgD80N— Allison (Ali) Wert (@AllisonWert) April 9, 2019Another way to achieve better integration with IT: Treat content initiatives like products.
Bill Pollock, the founder of the tech how-to book publisher No Starch Press, called out Amazon on February 13 for selling what he says are counterfeit copies of his company's book, The Art of Assembly Language—copies that Amazon apparently printed. After Pollock's post on Twitter on Wednesday, other people posted pictures of other No Starch books that had been counterfeited through Amazon, including books that had pages poorly cut. What's even crazier is that this isn't the first time this has happened. In 2017, Pollock got reports of Amazon selling counterfeit copies of Python for Kids, a popular children's introduction to programming, and four other No Starch titles. The books were easy to distinguish from No Starch's production runs because of the poorer quality of the paper and binding, changes likely resulting from Amazon's print-on-demand production.Amazon markets the service to publishers as a way to have "100 percent availability of books" internationally, and the company has enrolled a number of publishers.
Given we’ll probably be watching Robo-Ballers playing the Cyborg Cup in 2040, you might as well get on board with the technology now before the human game goes completely out of fashion...There’s nothing like the feeling of strapping on a large sports bra to play a simple game of 5-a-side.TechRadar tried this technology in a five a side game, and it certainly makes you motivated to try harder, jogging off quickly at the end of the game to go and check out your stats and see how hard you worked. It was a last minute decision from FIFA, but in early June 2018 the organization deemed the tech as safe for players to wear during official matches and most wearing it will have been using it throughout training too. This is a gadget that every kid - and football-mad adult - is always keen to try out, because it can tell you information about how you kick a ball. It’s a Bluetooth sensor suspended in the middle of the regulation-size ball, and it’ll connect to your smartphone to give you information on distance kicked, power behind it and the rotation of the ball too.

CMOs are charged with managing a brand s relationship with consumers, but the CMO s most tangible relationships are more likely with the partners and service providers that comprise their full tech stack.Building, selecting, integrating and managing the right tech is the first step in understanding and interfacing with consumers. At best, both the advertising and marketing stack can help create more intimate understanding between brand and consumer. The ad tech portion — namely, the technology for managing and optimizing paid media — has only gotten more complex and labyrinthine as it has struggled to adapt to the rapid changes in advertising, namely the rise of mobile and programmatic.Ad tech presents unique challenges in partner selection, and therefore, it is more likely to become a stumbling block in the relationship between brand and consumer.Marketers rely more on their ad tech partners than on other portions of the stack — such as email and CRM — where marketers tend to own the software they need to do their jobs.
