I feel like a broken record when I say this, but MailChimp is my go-to email automation, testing, and optimization platform. It is pretty intuitive and you can optimize for all of the things you just mentioned. My favorite tool is the auto-mailer (not actual name); it records when your audience is most likely to open an email and will send out your campaign at that time.Given what you mentioned in your question, I'd recommend giving MailChimp a shot.Disclaimer: most of my clients/projects are with startups and small businesses - there might be a better platform for larger companies/corporation, which someone else might be able to comment on, if that is your needs. Also check out G2 for ALL of the platforms:
NHS staff replying to the 'test' email only made the problem much, much worse...An IT contractor working for a branch of the NHS in Croydon accidentally sent a test email to hundreds of thousands of staff across the entire National Health Service, causing the internal NHSmail system to seize up as workers began to respond.Speaking to ZDNet - over the phone, of course - an NHS Digital spokesperson confirmed that the incident had taken place, with 840,000 staff affected. The incident has been blamed on "a bug in the supplier's system" which "inadvertently included everyone on the NHS Mail list".As NHS IT staff tried to control the situation, it was made worse by staff replying to the accidental test email asking to be removed from the list - which in turn resulted in hundreds of millions more emails being sent, further crashing the system.NHS IT staff eventually removed the ability to send to all users as they try to fix the problem.
