One word answer to the question – “Is AIIMS included in NEET?”, is No.
But, it’d be better to go through the many developments which have led people into asking this question in the first place.NEETNEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test)-UG was ideated in 2011, proposed to take be held from 2012 onwards, by the CBSE (Central board of Secondary Education) & MCI (Medical Council of India) as an umbrella covering all the UG medical entrance examinations.
But, it was only in 2013 that first NEET-UG was held across the country.
Following the discontent even after the exam, Supreme Court had to cancel NEET 2013 & CBSE decided to continue AIPMT from 2014 again. In 2016, NEET-UG was announced again to be held as the Phase II of Medical Entrance Examination.
Those who had enrolled in AIPMT 2016 (Phase I) were also allowed to take the Phase II under the condition that they give up their marks in Phase I.
As of 2017, NEET stands as the Common Entrance Examination to 15% of the government seats all over the country.
