iPhones, iPads and iPods Quickly Find Your Serial Number and Model Number You can usually find out the serial number and model number of an iOS device by visiting: Settings > General > About  Your model number will also be listed here also. You should see something like the image below where you serial number will be listed where I have highlighted it red, and your model number will be listed where I have highlighted green. The serial number for an iOS device is usually inscribed either on the back of the device, or on the SIM card tray. If you don’t have a serial number on the back of your device or SIM card tray, we can accept the IMEI number instead which is a slightly different number which also acts as a unique identifier.
