The Australian government has announced a pilot project to bring back international students to some universities in July with corona virus infections dramatically down and plans afoot to significantly open the Australian economy.

If you are looking out for study abroad then Australia must definitely be in your list on today’s date.An accomplishment that is allowing the government to reopen the economy in stages is because Australia has been able to manage its coronavirus caseload down to fewer than 500 active cases.

For Semester 2 in the Australian academic year starting in July, the controlled pilots would allow a limited number of international students to return before larger numbers come back to study in 2021.The higher education sector has been working diligently with government officials to arrive at strategies to safely bring back students from overseas with international students sometimes making up 30% or more of overall student populations at some universities.

Requirements for rigorous health checks have been proposed along with cooperation with the airline industry.

20th July is the date chosen for the reopening of its borders by South Australian Government.

10th July is the date chosen by the Queensland government while Western Australia has not yet announced its plans.International students require a student visa which allows them to study in Australia for up to 4 years and all the Australia study Visa requirements must be fulfilled. The course type and its duration determine the length of stay of an international student in Australia.
