Coronavirus is taking a toll on all sectors of the world including the car manufacturing industry globally.

In the latest case, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has flown Manufacturing parts from China to Britain to continue the production of cars but won’t be able to continue the production as the stock is going to finish in few weeks and the flights from China are restricted due to the virus’s outbreak. The production and sales of big companies like Apple and Samsung have already been affected by the virus earlier this year and Jaguar is the newest to join the list.

Jaguar is Britain’s biggest carmaker, which has three factories in Britain and produces around 400,000 vehicles a year.According to Sir Ralf Speth, the company had just enough parts to continue the manufacturing practices of a week in the UK and will fall short of its manufacturing goals in March which will delay the deliveries. He said: “We have flown parts in suitcases from China to the UK.”China is still figuring out ways to fight and eliminate the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in the process has shutdown factories and restricted movements.

This had led to huge losses internationally as China is the second-largest economy of the world.Apple acknowledged the loss it is facing due to the coronavirus outbreak earlier this week and more companies are assumed to be coming out soon.“This is an issue for the complete car automotive industry,” said Sir Ralf.He added, “We don’t know how long it will take before the supply chain comes on stream again in China.”Jaguar has on several occasions criticized Brexit that because of it, production cuts are taking place and demands are curbing.

And earlier in February, the company said that it had to stop production on certain select days due to multiple reasons.https://www.theleadersglobe.com/industry/uk-jaguar-is-likely-to-struggle/
