Barely days after Pulwama which has had the whole nation united in grief and rage, PM Modi has pulled out all the stops in giving a prompt, determined and a decisive response to the ghastly incident.
Soon after the tragedy in his first address to the nation, when Mr Modi announced the giving of a free hand to the army, he would have directly communicated to the handlers of JeM across the border that this was no ordinary moment.
Instead, by giving the armed forces the carte blanche, the government has handed over the responsibility of setting things right to the professionals who are mandated and trained to ensure the security of our country.
Furthermore, India is not only demanding immediate and verifiable action against Jaish-e-Mohammed and its leader Masood Azhar, it has issued a clear warning to those involved to either surrender or face certain death.
The government has also given a tough signal to the separatist leaders who had been for years enjoying government security at the expense of the taxpayers while apparently working at the behest of their masters from PoK and Pakistan.
On the same day of the tragedy, the government removed the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status granted to Pakistan raising immediately the customs duty by a massive 200% on goods exported by it to India.
The heinous terror attack on a convoy of CRPF Jawans on that fateful afternoon of February 14, 2019 at Pulwama brought back painful memories of the carnage caused by terrorists across the world.
It also reminded global leaders that it is in their respective national interests that they stand united in their resolve to vanquish terrorist outfits.
Through repeated mentions of the attack on various forums, along with prompt and relevant diplomatic decisions including withdrawal of the Most Favored Nation status, increase in customs duty on goods imported from Pakistan to 200%, and the announcement to divert water from eastern rivers to Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, India has made it clear to the world that it would not take such incidents lying down.
This is also to build pressure on global leaders while exhorting them to take a stand on terrorism and openly name and shame those responsible for such incidents.
The statement extended deepest sympathy and condolences to families of victims as well as to the Indians and the Government of India.
Members of the Security Council reaffirmed that terrorism in all forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.

In the video, the person was heard saying that he was the commander of the Abhinandan squadron.
Abhinandan was born on 21 June 1983, today they are 35 years old, is a graduate of the National Defense Academy (NDA).
He is married to Tanvi Marwah, who is also retired chief of the IAF squadron and has two children.
