Saskatchewan Conducts New EOI Draw for Express Entry and Occupation in-demand stream

The Saskatchewan province conducted a new expression of interest draw on July 24 for Express Entry and Occupation in-demand candidates. A total of 381 invitations were issued in this current draw out of which 277 EOIs were given under Occupation In-demand sub-category and another 104 EOIs were given to the Express Entry candidates.

The July 24 SINP EOI draws for both sub-categories were fixed at 74 immigration points. This score went up by six points over the previous draw held on June 20, 2019. So far in 2019, the SINP has issued 1,004 invitations to Express Entry applicants and 1,473 to Occupation In-demand candidates. The SINP Express Entry sub-category is linked to the federal Express Entry system. To apply for Saskatchewan Express Entry stream, the candidates must register a separate EOI profile with the SINP. An EOI profile mentions the candidate's education, work experience, proficiency in English or French and other adaptability factors. The highest-ranking applicant is then invited to apply through EOI draw.

The selected candidates receive 600 additional points towards their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score that boosts the immigration chances. The Occupation In-demand sub-category is designed to bring in international skilled workers who work in industries that are facing labour shortages in the province. Their work experience must be in one of 19 occupations listed as in-demand in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) allows skilled and qualified workers to come and settle in the province permanently. Fill the Canada Immigration Assessment form to arrange a callback from one of the visa and immigration experts of Aptech Global.
