Ingredients
A perfectly balanced blend of Sitopala, Bamboo Manna, Pippali, Cardamom and Cinnamomum zeylanicum makes it very effective in treating cough and cold.

Sitopala aids in the relief of respiratory tract disorders. Also known as Misri, these shiny little crystals are sweet to taste and have demulcent properties that relieve inflammation and irritation in cough. 

Bamboo Manna: The second most important ingredient is the bamboo manna. Its anti-cough property helps in curing cough and treats affections of the lungs.

Pippali: Pipalli is an immunomodulating herb that works well for the prevention of respiratory tract disorders including Asthma. Its expectorant properties promote the secretion of sputum by the air passages and treat cough.

Cardamom: This cool mint is a great expectorant and is very helpful in treating asthma, bronchitis, throat disorders andcough.

BENEFITS

USAGE
Sitopalaadi Churna can be used with honey or ghee for better results in treating cough and congestion. 

Dose
A dose of 1 – 3 grams of the churna mixed in honey or ghee should be consumed 3 – 4 times daily after food.

USAGE IN KIDS

Sitopalaadi Churna has a sweet taste and when mixed with honey it does not feel like medicine at all which makes it one of the most widely used Ayurvedic medicines. The churna is safe for children as well as infants and it takes care of their frequent cough problems.

Dose

  • For infants, one pinch of the churna mixed in honey should be fed three times a day
  • For children, the doses should be increased to 4 pinches.

PRECAUTIONS
Though it is generally termed safe for all including children and pregnant women and devoid of any specific side effects, because of the hot-potent ingredients, it may induce gastric troubles. Also, sweet misri needs a check for diabetic patients. The doses should be monitored and consulting a doctor is always helpful.
