The Asian Development Bank (ADB) slashed its growth projections for Asian countries in this year from the previous by 5.7% to 5.4%.
Economic projections of the region next year also trimmed from 5.5% to 5.4%.
In the latest report of the ADB published on Wednesday (25/9), the agency is called the pruning of this projection along with the prospects of international trade will be more grim due to the trade war between China and the United States (US) are protracted.
The growth of a number of developing countries which have economies of scale large enough in Asia such as China, India, South Korea, and Thailand slowed.
Meanwhile, the economy of Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Hong kong, Taipei, and developing countries in other Asia is expected to grow 6% this year and next year.
