Digital Marketing for Cosmetic Surgery Companies

There’s no better advertisement than digital marketing these days. With the Internet, the way people get to discuss, rate and find out about businesses has changed and you need to move with the trends.

It’s not difficult to see how profitable a strategy like this one could be to your cosmetic surgery company but the most challenging aspect about this is how to do it; how to use digital marketing to boost sales and get people talking about you.

What’s the best way to reach people and how to best apply a digital marketing strategy to your cosmetic surgery company?

This is what we’ll be discussing today. Get to where you want to be by following simple yet effective steps that will transform your business.

First things first, let’s talk about your website…

The website is what people will see first. Just like your patients, you want the exterior to look flawless, and in marketing, the website is the first impression, it’s what counts. Your website needs to be user-friendly and have a strong design. If you’re using WordPress, you’ll find themes ready for you to use and you can pick your favourite and most suitable for the look you’re going for. My advice is to choose a theme that looks simple – you want people to be able to find information easily, therefore you can opt for a design that will always look welcoming and doesn’t have ten colours clashing and a few pop-ups bouncing from nowhere.

You want to invite your customers in through your website. Make it attractive too! Don’t forget to include photos – videos even – of previous operations. People like to see what exactly they could be choosing for themselves and a picture is worth a thousand words – especially in this type of business.

When mentioning easy-to-navigate, I also mean to say that any type of information your patients might be looking for has to be all present. Create different tabs to all the procedures you execute and include as much information as possible. You can follow the example of https://www.auralia.ie/, which have done a great job with this.

If you want to go the extra mile (and you should), I recommend adding testimonials and ratings from previous patients and also a page where people can find your qualifications and schooling.

After planning your website, there’s social media

This shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. Digital marketing involves everything digital and even though a clean, attractive website is important, I dare say social media has an even stronger impact on people nowadays. You can reach thousands with the right hashtags and content. Just off the top of my head, I can count 6 or 7 medical accounts that are doing great due to their strategic use of social media.

Whether you decide to create an Instagram, Facebook or Twitter account (or all three), the most important rule is to be active. You need to post daily, update daily and get people behind the scenes. We love seeing the results, but what we love even more is to see how things get done!

Now, I’m not saying you should go and film your operations but show patients more than just the results. Create a connection with the people behind the screens. Maybe introduce your staff on a chill Instagram story live or share a morning picture from your office every day. People like to get involved and that will attract more business to you.

Besides daily photos, Twitter and Facebook are also a great platform to update your patients on new procedures or holidays time, discounts and anything else you think they deserve to know.

Be active and connect!

Use Ads

There’s nothing wrong with using ads, such as Google AdWords. In fact, they’re a great strategy for smaller businesses or businesses who are just starting out. They’ll help you reach a bigger audience and the money invested in these will be worth it.

Especially with search engines, utilizing ads will put your website up first and people will click on it first. This tool works amazing if you need an extra boost and later on, you won’t need it because your page will have built visibility and show up first.

Whether you decide to do it on your own or you go with a digital marketing team, the idea of using the Internet as a marketing tool is essential today. Word of mouth is great and can help local businesses but there’s nothing faster than a good following on social media spreading the word that there’s a hot new business in town.

Remember to include people in your day-to-day and show them why they should be following your company – what makes you unique.
