Apple Watch Gym Partnership Now Provides Perks

Apple released a new app, “Apple Watch Connected,” which will help the user who workout.

Now, Apple, the leading manufacturer of smartwatch, launches the Gym partnership “Apple Watch Connected.” It connects and can records data, which will help the owner of the watch to record and show the progress. In many cases, gift cards and discounted membership is one of the perks for those who work regularly.

A connected watch will offer followings things:

  1. It can offer you about your class times.
  2. It offers Apple Pay.
  3. Membership discounts for a regular user.
  4. It supports GymKit like Ellipticals and Treadmills.

 

In theory, this partnership can award every section involved. Owners of the Apple Watch can have a better experience while working out with much potential to have a discount. While releasing this product of Apple has to check that it supports the equipment in the gym to provides the perks offered to the customers. It is also able to help the gym owners by providing the information to the local costumers as per the working status of the gym.

The owner of the Apple Watch has much better experience in the gyms because it provides the exact information and clear goals so that users can create a well-defined plan and continuously work on that.

As for now, Apple Watch has connected to 4 gym partners naming Crunch Fitness, YMCA, Orange Theory, and Basecamp Fitness. It has been for the selected locations, and this area will expand with the passage of time. For now, Crunch is a single gym that is offering the discount on the membership fee on joining the gym to those who work on a regular basis. On the other hand, Orange Theory is performing the other way to attract the audience by providing Gift Cards as a perk for joining. When we check the Basecamp advertisement, it is using a laundry system to give away Apple Watch to the winners amongst who joined the gym now. The YMCA is doing the most beautiful thing; this gym is offering to donate classes to needy students and children.  

This tie-up between Apple and Gym is an attempt to keep people use Apple Watch, which will increase the user base and make people work out and keep them healthy. So that people can have a fit body while these companies have the money, AWin Win for All (customers, Gym, and Apple). Apple has tried this technique in recent past where it offers a discounted price in exchange for some social reforming technique; such as in the past they offered the discount to people who has the health care insurance.

This discount provides integration between users and promotes them to take care of themselves. These discounts can be big like this one where customers can have approx 50% off. Even if the customers are not buying the product, but they get to know about those ways to secure them, so it fulfills the target of providing the information of to (even those) users out of the company customer base.

The initiations like this one by giant companies, helps people not only to provide the services but spread the social message too.
