Read how 3-D softwares help Delhi-Mumbai DFC to cut through Aravalli Hills

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is using the 3-D modelling softwares of Bentley Systems for the ongoing second phase construction of 128-kilometre rail between Rewari and Dadri of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) that pass through the ecologically sensitive zone of Aravalli Hills.

The second phase construction of corridor passes through the regions of Rewari-Alwar-Mewat-Gurgaon-Palwal-Faridabad and GB Nagar in the states of Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh and is expected to complete by March 2021.

“Bentley software helped L&T achieve its vision of digitalization and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enable designers, planners, and implementers to use a single repository for the free flow of accurate information and a collaborative way of working through the process of designing, delivering, and maintaining physical assets,” said Nikhil Jose, assistant engineering manager-civil, L&T.
