Exclusive Panama Photo Tour

Panama is one of the most exciting and rewarding birding and nature travel destinations in the Neotropics (the biological region comprising Central and South America, plus the Caribbean islands). With excellent air links to most world major airports, it is also one of Latin America’s safest and most stable countries, with some of the best infrastructures in the region. In spite of its small size, Panama Bird Photo Tour contains a surprisingly varied geography, with habitats ranging from sea-level to more than 3,400 metres in the Chiriquí Highlands. Being closer to the equator than any other Central American country, its biodiversity is stunning; with close to 1,000 bird species, 255 mammals, 275 reptiles and amphibians, 1,500 butterflies…

I have been exploring and photographing in Panama since 2004. I am originally from Norway, but I live in the interior of the Cocle province in Panama.

With my specialized knowledge, I help other nature photographers to experience Panama in the best possible way on my photo tours, and guide them to the best locations for various types of nature photography. Panama has so many interesting things to offer if you are interested in wildlife, landscapes, macro work, or arty interpretations of nature.

I also lead outdoor photography workshops, and Adobe Lightroom workshops.
If you prefer to learn online, I have also an online outdoor photography school.

Based on all my knowledge of the natural world and the photographic world, I want you to succeed and come home with beautiful experiences, more knowledge, and original photographs from Panama.

My own Panama photographs have been sold to various publications such as the National Geographic Society, Smithsonian Magazine, The Guardian, Men’s Journal, BBC Earth, GEO, the Biological museum of Panama, and countless other media.

Earlier I have been on many different expeditions. Canoe journeys in Canada, and Alaska. I also have been mountain climbing expeditions in Norway, the European Alps, on Mount Everest, in Patagonia, and Peru.
I have a black belt in Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate, and I practice several times a week to stay fit and develop my skills.

I am looking forward to be your guide and help you succeed in Panama!
