Marvel’s Wasp Once Became a Villain In The Comics

Ant-Man is a very famous superhero film series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is based on the Marvel comics. It was directed by Peyton Reed, and the first part of the film Ant-Man was released in 2015. The famous actor Paul Rudd played the role of Ant-Man/Scott Lang in the Ant-Man series. After the huge success of Ant-Man, Marvel decided to release a sequel to this film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was released in 2018.

The actress Evangeline Lilly has played the role of Hope van Dyne/Wasp. She was the daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. In the film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scott, and Hope worked together with Hank Pym to retrieve Hope’s mother and the original Wasp, Janet van Dyne from the quantum realm. Hope received her Wasp mantle and a similar suit from her mother Janet and became the new Wasp in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

However, according to the Marvel comics, Hope van Dyne once became a villain. Hope was another addition to the female superhero group in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is also expected that Hope can also appear in the upcoming MCU movies. However, according to the MC2 line of comics, Hope has seen in the character of a villain and played a darker part in the MC2 Universe.

It is believed that the MC2 Universe will include new superheroes and the children of villains to play the role of a superhero. It is also thought that “The Revengers” which is a team of villains led by the children of Janet van Dyne and Hank Pym. In the MC2 Universe, Hope and Henry were the twin children of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. But, on a mission with the Avengers, Hank was killed unluckily, and soon after his death Janet also died in the sorrow of her husband. Later, Hope managed to use the Pym Particles of Hank Pym to acquire some powers. She made herself the “Red Queen” and became a flying Ant-Villain. On the other hand, Henry transformed himself into a giant bad man with great strength and ultimate power.

Hope and Hank made a group and included many different and new Avengers’ villains. To breach the codes and enter into the Avengers’ mansion, the new Avengers’ villains used the codes of their parents. Later, Hope’s team captured the Avengers when they were coming from a mission. Henry wanted to prove that they were better than Avengers, while Hope became extremely furious to kill the American Dream. Due to chance, Avengers were able to call some powerful allies to save themselves from Hope’s team.

Hope ended the fight with Stinger and played a drama of being a generous aunt to Cassie Lang, the daughter of Scott Lang/Ant-Man. She played this drama to kill Stinger, but Cassie thrashed the Red Queen. At this point, Hope became unconscious and wanted to destroy the mansion, but very soon, Henry realized that her sister had become uncontrollable, and to retain her into consciousness, he knocked her. Henry Surrendered himself and Hope was sent to the insane asylum.

This is how Hope van Dyne/Wasp had played the villainous character in the MC2 Universe and became a thought for the Marvel Cinematic Universe to include such villainous roles in the upcoming new phase of the MCU.
