Population of Toronto:

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and fifth most populous city in North America with population reaching 2.8 million. Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is a home for 6 million people but it is expected that it will reach unto 7.7 million by 2025. Toronto is situated in Southern Ontario’s ‘Golden Horse shoe’, almost quarter of Canada’s population ( 8 million) live in this region. 

Geography and climate of Toronto:

Climate of Toronto is partially moderate by its Great Lake location. Weather is more extreme than Bordeaux’s and Christchurch’s. City is mainly flat with few hills in it.  Longitude is 43 degrees to north similar to France, Bordeaux and southern hemisphere- Christchurch, New Zealand. 

Living in Toronto:

Toronto Ontario is mostly prefered by families to live in. Places like North York, Markham, Richmond Hill and Halton are mostly preferred by single families to live in Toronto. Downtown core of Canada is mostly preferred by single men and women where condominium market demand is higher for over last year. 

Main places where crime rate is higher than other parts of the city includes west parts of Toronto where  government housing is prominent such as Jane and Finch, Lawrence Heights.  In downtown Toronto, Parkdale, St. James, Reagent Park and Moss Park also have higher crime rates. Some places in the east of city have high crime rate just like Malvern. Talking about  overall city crime rates then it is low than many North American cities or Canadian cities like Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton, Halifax and Winnipeg. Crime rates in GTA is comparatively lower. Ottawa and Calgary crime rate is similar to that of Toronto.

Things to do in Toronto:

There is a lot of stuff available in Toronto for fun, entertainment and knowledge.  Toronto Eaton Center consists of 175 stores with a food court  basement, Art Gallery of Ontario is a place for both youth and kids, Toronto zoo and conversation site is just amazing where a beautiful pair of giant pandas arrived in 2013 while penguins and meerkats have their own attraction.  Rogers Center is a home of Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, and a place for biggest musical concerts.

Neighborhood:

There are many Best neighborhoods to live in Toronto.

Roncesvalles locally called “Roncy” is considered as a haven for creative and hipster types. This area is treated as a beautiful neighborhood in Toronto featuring with numerous shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Little Italy is past Kensington Market near College Street. This place is much charming to live in as its edges are less rough. Neighborhood is built according to Italian style like there are lots of places to eat which represent Italian tradition. Dovercourt is one of the happiest neighborhood in Toronto with famous guitar shops, shopping centers while indie bars will fulfill your shopping needs.
