Last Night Of The Proms 2021: Proms have new look after a year

The Last Night Dania Harrison’s mother, Dania Harrison, organized a family gathering to see University of Detroit College graduates celebrate her achievements despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dania Harrison said: “My school had a dance, organized at the last minute, and there were only about five people there, so I thought, “I’m going to wait and do something with my friends.” Everyone wants to go to a real dance. I’m not very upset to know this is a pandemic. I just made it work. … This is unprofessional.

Harrison said the online high school was “crazy” during the pandemic. “I thought, “How can we go to school online?” It won’t fly, especially with some people. It was hard at first because they didn’t know if we were going back.

Returning to class, Harrison says, will be “hard to get used to.” “But I think I’m ready.”

The farewell took place on June 4 at her grandmother’s home in Detroit.

“I’m glad she got through it,” said her grandmother, Janeta Harrison. “At least she can dress up and have a little fun with the family.

Bella Clayton, a Renaissance High School graduate, attended the prom on June 6. It is also held at Detroit’s Riverside Pier and offers students a safe outdoor space to celebrate.

Isabella Webster, another Renaissance high school graduate, said those who had not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 were not alone outside, needed to be tested a day in advance.

While in Atlanta, Skipp visited the Trap Music Museum, attended Clark University’s university tour of Atlanta, visited the aquarium, visited the Coca-Cola World Center, and more, she said.

It’s hard to go to high school online, but knowing it’s their senior year makes it acceptable.
