Why is a Nursery School an integral part of a child’s development?

Education and learning is an integral part of our lives no matter what age group we belong to. We never stop learning and changing. The process of forming opinions, attitudes and behaviours start from a very young age. The environment we grow in, the things and behaviour we perceive as a child plays an integral part in our adult life. Hence, it is important to send your kid to a nursery school that understands the importance of a child’s cognitive growth and conducts activities around it.

Nursery School prepares your child for further education:

A Nursery school helps your child get accustomed to the classroom environment which will aid in a seamless transition to higher classes. It builds a foundation for your child and helps them accelerate their learning process in higher grades. These small steps pave the way forward for children when they will have to adapt to a tougher environment without anyone’s assistance.

Nursery School helps your child become independent:

Small steps like deciding where to sit in the classroom, what to play, to eat when hungry, visiting the washroom when needed, helps children to decide things for themselves and imbibe an independent attitude towards life. These things cannot be comparable to what they will face in the future but it sure helps build the basic foundation for better outcomes later. This also helps parents in understanding their child’s behaviour and how they perceive themselves as individuals.

Social and emotional development: An Integral Part of an International School Curriculum

Before joining any international school, kids are only used to being around their parents. However, once they step into  pre-school, they get an opportunity to interact with other kids which expands their social horizon. This opportunity helps them encounter new emotions and social scenarios they weren’t familiar with before and  will enable them to get out of their comfort zone. Making friends, helping each other, interacting with the teachers and elders, apologising when they are wrong, etc. may seem like small things but they end up making a bigger impact in their character development process.

Conclusion

Choosing a nursery school for your child can seem like a huge task for parents. We, as parents, may fear that we might miss out on something important during this process. However, making a list of nursery schools around you and knowing their pros and cons and shortlisting them further can help you in deciding what are looking for in an ideal school

We want the best for our children and that’s for a good reason. International nursery  schools provide a realistic and effective program for kids that will help them grow inside a positive learning environment. International schools keep track of several small but important things that other nursery schools might miss out on, such as happiness index, facilities, events and activities, parent engagement, faculty, safety and security. Such schools not only prioritise top-notch education but also maintain a good environment and implement the best values and culture in their curriculum.
