Nanomedicines; the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases using molecular tools and human body knowledge

Nanomedicines are now utilised to treat a variety of ailments, including renal disease, cancer, fungus infections, multiple sclerosis, excessive cholesterol, chronic pain, and asthma. Nanomedicine is a branch of medicine that employs nanotechnology to extremely specialised medicinal interventions for illness prevention, diagnosis, and therapy. In vitro diagnostics, in vivo imaging, medication delivery, regenerative medicine, medical devices, dentistry, and cutaneous applications all use nanomedicine products. Because of the rising prevalence of chronic diseases such as cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, orthopaedic problems, and obesity, there is a growing demand for nanomedicines around the world.

Nanomedicines are often made up of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) such tiny molecules or biologics encapsulated in nano-sized containers made up of excipients like lipids and polymers. The medical application of nanotechnology is referred to as nanomedicine. Nanotechnology encompasses everything from traditional medicinal applications of living microorganisms and nanoparticles to future applications such as energy production, optical imaging, nanothermia, and genetic engineering. Hundreds of nanotechnologies and nanomedicines are now being developed. Understanding how these technologies can lead to advancements in health care and medicine is becoming increasingly important as society's requirements change.
