Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan, is behind bars for the past several days in a drug case.
Aryan’s bail application in the Mumbai cruise drugs case has been rejected by both the Magistrate Court and the Special NDPS Court, after which Aryan’s bail application has been made in the Bombay High Court, which was heard today.
After hearing the case for more than 3 hours, the court adjourned it to tomorrow for further hearing.
Former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi appeared on behalf of Aryan Khan in Bombay High Court today.
On the other hand, the NCB team opposed the bail application of all the other accused including Aryan Khan.
Aryan Khan’s bail petition was listed before the Court of Justice Nitin W Sambre of Bombay High Court at Sl.No. 57. The bail plea of Arbaaz Merchant, Aryan’s friend and accused in the drugs case, was listed at number 64.
Opposing the bail plea NCB submitted that further investigation has revealed international linkages of Aryan Khan indicating towards illegal drug procurement. Therefore NCB pleaded that Aryan is not a mere consumer of drug.
Further the NCB also referring to Prabhakar Sail Affidavit pleaded that attempts are being made to derail the investigation and tamper evidence.
Mukul Rohatagi for Aryan Khan submitted no recovery has been made from him, he was invited at the cruise as special guest. There is also no medical report which could suggest that Aryan has consumed any contraband.
