SOUND.COM’s experience in systems engineering and its extensive array of specialist equipment for use with such events is second to none. Warren D’souza the Audio Director and Mark Thomas, Senior Systems Engineer are globally recognized authorities in this area. They have been an extensive part of almost all our large public event projects in the Indian sub-continent since 2005 and will be in involved personally if our proposal is accepted.

Over a period, the company has developed the skills of its personnel to the highest level and has developed comprehensive systems that ensure the seamless delivery of audio for large-scale events.

COMPANY STRUCTURE

SOUND.COM PVT LTD was incorporated and commenced business in 1998 in Mumbai, India.

There are currently 75 full time employees in SOUND.COM, with upto 23 casual staff working for us to achieve the great results that we have had over the years. Since its incorporation SOUND.COM’S annual turnover has steadily increased to in excess of $ 1.8 million per year with further growth projected.

Progress Monitoring and Control Procedures

We have a tried and tested set of monitoring and control procedures that have ensured that we have successfully, and on-time (usually before), delivered audio to many large events at the highest level. In essence, the project manager performs all monitoring and control at the top end. Department Heads are responsible for the control of their staff and for monitoring the quality of the work as it is being undertaken. They regularly keep the project manager informed of progress.

The Project manager in turn reports to the MD Warren D’souza who has always maintained a very evident “hands on” approach to the overall management of all projects of this size.

Quality Assurance Plan

SOUND.COM has been operating for the last eighteen years and since inception has built up a substantial inventory and has wealth of experienced talent unmatched by any other company in this space. It has comprehensive back-office facilities with a robust and scalable automated inventory control systems called HireTrack, Tally financial accounting system and a high-speed network linking all its offices. It has a relatively flat but effective management structure which results in “hands on” quality control at all levels. We have a Managing Director below, which are Account Managers, Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers and Service Managers.

Our quality assurance starts in the warehouse where checking and control procedures have been developed over many years. All power cabling is regularly tested and tagged. All signal cabling is routinely checked. All systems are thoroughly checked, and phase checked before leaving the warehouse to minimize time spent troubleshooting on site.

We have our in-house service centre too with a Service Manager and three maintenance techs to keep all the gear maintained and serviced.
