With over 1,500 recorded uses, bamboo is one of the highly renewable resources in the socioeconomic and ecological-climatic-functional context.

 Bamboo and rattan have numerous environmental, economic, and social benefits for society. Bamboo is a renewable resource that can grow in a variety of climates but thrives in tropical climates. When compared to trees, it provides approximately 35% more oxygen and absorbs 40% more carbon dioxide, resulting in a significant improvement in air quality. Furthermore, bamboo cultivation provides carbon fixation, controls soil erosion, and purifies the environment.
